Cape Fear Valley Health System, located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, has retained Cejka Executive Search to recruit a Corporate Director, Organizational Development and Talent Management. A newly created role, the Corporate Director will serve as a key contributor to promote Cape Fear Valley Health System as a high performing organization, achieve strategic goals and fulfill its organizational mission. The role will be a strategic partner to the leadership team and report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
The Corporate Director will have an opportunity to join a progressive organization involved in several strategic initiatives, including ambulatory growth strategy, implementation of a new Electronic Health Record, and expansion of residency programs as Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is evolving to a teaching hospital. Due to Cape Fear Valley Health System’s growth, the Corporate Director will support the assessment of organizational needs and contribute to shaping enterprise-wide talent development strategies and programs that promote engagement, alignment, and retention of talent. The Corporate Director will provide expertise and consultation to business leaders by developing innovative and forward thinking programs and tools that facilitate professional development and talent processes, with a particular emphasis on executives and emerging leaders, to foster a culture of continuous learning, and optimize organizational performance. The Corporate Director will provide support the chief Human Resources Officer in managing and advancing the employee engagement and patient experience platform.    

Located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Cape Fear Valley Health System is the 7th largest health system in the state and serves more than a million patients. With eight hospitals totaling approximately 1,100-beds, Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, a 600-bed hospital, is the system’s flagship facility. With over 7,500 employees and 850 physicians, Cape Fear Valley Health System provides services to a 6-county region in southeastern North Carolina.

Successful candidates will be expert facilitators and coachers with demonstrated content knowledge and experience in building and managing successful organizational and talent management programs for an organization of similar size. A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced professional degree is preferred.
