Middle School English Chair & Middle School English/Writing Teacher:
The Elisabeth Morrow School, an independent 3 through eighth grade school in Englewood, NJ, is accepting applications for a Middle School English Chair & Middle School English/Writing Teacher. The Chair will lead curricular innovation & alignment & instructional excellence throughout our fifth through eighth grade English department. The English Chair will be tasked with consistent evaluation of the curriculum to promote best practices and engagement. The appointed candidate will teach sixth grade English, lead the middle school's robust creative writing & journalism program, & oversee the School's entries to the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards as well as the School's annual literary magazine. Desired candidates will hold a Master's degree in a related discipline, significant teaching experience, &/or equivalent experience in a related field. The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a strong & collaborative leadership style, a track record of curricular innovation, experience & appreciation for uniqueness middle school students, & deep knowledge& exp with middle school English curriculum.
