Pennsylvania General Energy (PGE) is a top producer of natural gas in the Appalachian basin. This full time position will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Directs and supervises the daily activities of Superintendents and Area Operations Managers to maintain and maximize production in a safe and profitable manner.
  • Monitor and evaluate well performance to maximize production rates while minimizing downtime
  • Develop a strong working relationship with field operations personnel.
  • Support development of business presentations.
  • Responsible for researching new technology associated with unconventional gas production.
  • Coordinate production changes with Gas Marketing personnel.
  • Provide precise, detailed reports of problems, updates, failures, operational parameters and personnel status
  • Monitors actual costs and ensures adherence to financial controls related to capital expenditures
  • Reviews and authorizes contracts of the necessary resources for project execution such as equipment, personnel and services
  • Partners with the safety and environmental department to implement and ensure compliance with the Company's safety and environmental policies
  • Participates in the recruitment and hiring process for key talent necessary for the performance of the production group.
  • Motivates and develops talent with the goal of improving current performance and providing the necessary training opportunities for future development

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field; and a minimum of 10 years of production operations experience
  • Background in unconventional natural gas production operations
