Seeking a GovernmentDefense ProgramBusiness Analyst (Contractor)thathas the education and experience that enables him / her to perform functions that support business requirements and processes throughout defense industry product life cycles

The successful candidate should have the following skill sets that they would apply to this role:

  • Professional Communication Style: Displaying tact and situational awareness when working with individuals of differing opinions
  • Requirements Management: Process analysis, eliciting requirements, applying configuration and changemanagement practices
  • Process Management: Improving processes for requirements management
  • Facilitation: Working with distributed subject matter experts
  • Training:For customers and end users
  • Quality Assurance: Completing requirements inspections

Work Classification: 1099 Contractor

Schedule: Hours vary based on your experience and program needs

Work Location: Partially onsitein Albuquerque, New Mexico/ partially remote. Some opportunities to travel in the United States.

US Citizenship: Required for this opportunity

Clearance: An active DOE Q clearance or the ability to obtain one is required

Training: Initial orientation provided on the program, processes, and technology


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Work experience with any of the following agencies:Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Bachelors degree in a scientific or engineering discipline or 10 years relevant experience in science or engineering work
  • Intermediate written and oral communication proficiency
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Open to learning new technology and ways of collaborating with team members
Desired Experience:
  • Experience working within a distributed team
  • Working knowledge / comfort with team collaborationtechnology (SharePoint, Skype, Outlook, other online or cloud-based systems)
  • Experienceworkingwithin a requirements management database (Jama, DOORS, Dimensions RM, or similar)
