Human Resources Generalist I, Sewell Automotive Companies

--Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all organization personnel

--Participates in staff meetings and attends department meetings as needed

--Procures compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations

--Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies

--Assists with onboarding process

--Conducts new-hire orientation

--Maintains employee personnel files

--Ensures Compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility

--Files and manages EEO-1 data and reporting

--Administers employee benefits programs

--Coaches and guides management of employee disciplinary actions

--Processes employee terminations

--Manages unemployment claims

--Administers COBRA for group health plans




--Bachelor’s degree required

--Minimum of 2+ years in a human resource generalist role

--Must be organized and detail oriented

--Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Products

--Strong written and verbal communication skills

--Customer service focus

--Experience in a fast-paced environment

--Some travel will be required to Houston and San Antonio

--Works autonomously without external motivation

--Enjoys a team and cooperative work environment
